The Chicago Cubs are one of the founding members of Major League Baseball, now plying their trade in the National League Central Division. The Cubs secured back-to-back World Series championships in 1907 and 1908, but have not won one since, gifting the Cubs the unwanted record of the longest championship drought of any major North American professional sports team. However, that record could set to be forgotten in 2016.
The Chicago Cubs are the bookmakers’ favorite to not only win their fourth Central Division title, their 17th National League Pennant, but also their third and long-awaited World Series championship.

Where Can I Bet On Chicago Cubs Online
Expect all of our leading betting partners, shown in the table below along with the latest betting odds, to be short-priced favorites in almost all, if not all, of their games during the 2016 MLB season.
Chicago Cubs Online Betting Tips
The Cubs finished third in the National Central League in 2015 with a record of 97-65, but nobody would be surprised if they win 100 games this coming season.
This is partly because Rookie of the Year Kris Bryant and first-year slugger Kyle Schwarber will be more experienced this year, while first baseman Anthony Rizzo is now in his prime and tipped for 40 home runs in 2016.
Cubs strengthened their already strong team with the additions of Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist, the former signing an eight-year $184 million deal.
With such batting talent, it is no wonder the Baseball Prospectus’ PECOTA system predicting the Cub will score more runs in 2015 than any other MLB side save the Blue Jays. Do you think the Chicago Cubs can break their championship drought?
Is 2016 the Year The Cubs Finally Win Another World Series?
Chicago Cubs are expected to be dominant during the regular season, but need to keep their cool and continue to do so once they reach the playoffs, which bookmakers see as almost guaranteed to happen.
The only weakness in the team could be the pitching. The Cubs fell some $50 million short of the Red Sox’s winning $217 million offer for David Price, and opted for John Lackey on a two-year, $32 million deal instead. Lackey is a proven winner, but at the age of 37, could have already had his best years.
That said, the Cubs have so much batting strength that they should be the team to beat in the 2016 MLB.
