The Cincinnati Reds, affectionately known as The Big Red Machine, have been spending far too much time in the red. Cincinnati has endured three successive losing seasons and back-to-back last-place finishes in the NL Central. It’s been a long dry spell for the Reds, who have enjoyed just three winning campaigns since 2001. The Reds have won five World Series titles, although they have not got their hands on one since 1990, and enjoyed their best spell of success during the 1970s.
The Reds won the National League West Division title in 1970, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1976, and 1979, National League pennants in 1970, 1972, 1975, and 1976, and the World Series in 1975 and again in 1976.

Votto is a Big Cincinnati Reds Hitting Machine
Cincinnati’s Great American Ballpark is a hitter’s park and no one hits them out of that park quite like Red first baseman Joey Votto.
Since first being called up to the majors in 2007, Votto has batted .300 in eight different seasons and clubbed at least 20 home runs on seven occasions. Votto has led the National League in on-base percentage five times, in walks four times and once each in doubles, slugging percentage and OPS. He was the NL MVP in 2010.
Hamilton Sets The Table For Cincinnati
One of baseball’s more exciting players, Reds leadoff hitter Billy Hamilton gets on base and then makes things happen once he’s there.
Hamilton stole a minimum of 56 bases in each season between 2014-16, is a vacuum cleaner in center field and if he could move his career .248 batting average up 10-15 clicks, would be an absolute terror for the opposition to deal with at the top of the Reds’ batting order.
