Stoke City, formerly known as the Stoke Ramblers, play in the English Premier League from their Bet365 Stadium, and are managed by former Manchester United and Wales striker Mark Hughes. Stoke were promoted to the Premier League in 2008-09 and finished 12th. They have stayed in the top flight since then, never finishing less than 14th, with the past three seasons seeing “The Potters” finish in ninth place. The Stoke squad is one of the most under-rated in the Premier League, partly because they do not have any huge superstars.
But they are a team full of industrious players who go the extra yard to help each other.
In Jack Butland, Stoke have a superb goalkeeper, while captain and tough tackling centre back Ryan Shawcross adds steel to the team.
Switzerland’s Xherdan Shaqiri adds some flair to the midfield, while Austria’s Marko Arnautovic makes a nuisance of himself up front, and has the potential to be a fantastic striker.
Stoke forked out £13 million for Liverpool’s midfielder Joe Allen, and Allen will certainly add some creativity to the Stoke City side. If Mark Hughes can get the best out of his players in 2016-17, Stoke may not be far from a top eight or event top six finish. What do you think?

Stoke City Online Betting Tips
Stoke are one of those teams who are effective if not spectacular. Do not expect them to win every game 3-0 or 4-1 with breath-taking goals, instead expect them to grind out results and find themselves in mid-table come the end of the season.
Odds on Stoke winning the Premier League in 2016-17 are +50000 and +900 10th favorites to go down, reflecting the likelihood of a mid-table finish.
There was not much to differentiate Stoke’s home and away form last season, with the home record being 8-7-4 and away 6-8-5.
Stokes defense reflected their 9th place finish (they conceded 55 goals and were 14th in the league), likewise their attack (they scored 41 goals and were 15th in the league). If both areas improve slightly in 2016-17 then Stoke could find themselves challenging for a European spot. Odds of +1600 are available on a top 6 finish for Stoke.
I particularly like the +162 on Stoke finishing in the top half of the table, and will probably be parting with a few dollars here before the season gets underway. The teams above them have strengthen better than Stoke, but I just have a feeling some Stokes better players will shine during this campaign.
Marko Arnautovic bagged 11 goals in 34 league games last season, and showed glimpses of immense potential. He is +10000 to finish as top scorer, but if you can get a bookie who pays out on the top four places then this could be turn out to be a shrewd season long investment.
Being hard to beat makes Stoke a good cup side, so once odds for the FA Cup and League Cup are announced, it may be worth a few dollars on them reaching the latter stages or even winning one of those competitions.
