FA Cup Final Online Bets

FA Cup Final Online Bets
Arsenal take on Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on May 27 for the 136th FA Cup final. The last time these Goliaths clashed in an FA Cup final, Arsenal won 2-0 but the Gunners will have their work cut out to produce a similar result this season.

Arsenal vs. Chelsea FA Cup Final betting preview

After finishing in fifth place in the Premier League and missed out on a Champions League spot for next season. They go into this weekend’s FA Cup final knowing that their supporters will be demanding they lift what would be a record 13th FA Cup trophy.

Bookmakers do not fancy Arsenal’s chances as is evident by Bovada pricing of an Arsenal win at +375 compared to Chelsea at -140. Part of the reason that Arsenal are long shots is their recent poor record against Chelsea. Arsenal have only won once in 12 competitive meetings with Chelsea (they also beat them in the Community Shield) and have failed to scored in seven of the past 10 games against the newly crowned Premier League champions.

Walcott

Historically, there have been 189 matches between Arsenal and Chelsea, and it is the former who hold a narrow 73 win to 62 win advantage. In the FA Cup, Arsenal have won eight games to Chelsea’s five and there have been six draws.

Arsenal need the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott to be at their brilliant best if they are to turn over Chelsea. Walcott has managed to score 19 goals in all competitions this season and the long, wide Wembley pitch will suit him and his pace, so consider backing him to score at anytime at odds of +350.

Chelsea look set to be at full strength for the FA Cup final and that spells bad news for the Gunners. Arsenal may have beaten Chelsea 3-0 at home six games into the Premier League season, but were definitely second best when Chelsea won 3-0 at home in February.

Hazard

As mentioned, Chelsea have kept clean sheet in seven of the past 10 matches with Arsenal, making the +250 on Chelsea to win to nil look like a shrewd bet. I expect Arsenal to put the ball behind Thibaut Courtois at some point because they are desperate to win a trophy so will have to attack Chelsea relentlessly, however, I still fancy Chelsea to come out on top.

With that in mind, take a look at the prop where Chelsea win and both teams score. Bovada currently price this at +260 which is a pretty good potential return.

Correct score FA Cup

Another popular prop is the correct score market. Arsenal will score but Chelsea will walk away as winners, so consider placing a wager on a 2-1 Chelsea victory at +750, which happens to be the third favorite scoreline behind a 1-1 draw (+650) and a 1-0 Chelsea win (+700).

Arsenal may have a tremendous record in the FA Cup with 12 wins and seven runner-up finishes, but this Chelsea team looked unplayable during large sections of the Premier League season and for that reason alone, my money is going on a Chelsea win; the FA Cup is heading to Stamford Bridge.

Pick: Chelsea to win the FA Cup 2-1 at +750 with Bovada
