Bears Hope Second-Half Rally from Week Two Carries Over Against Jets
Bears know they could be 0-2 instead of 1-1 right now
Chicago was one half of football away from starting the 2014 NFL season with an 0-2 record. Now, they can move to 2-1 if they can beat the Jets in New Jersey in a Monday Night Football contest. Chicago had to rally from a 17-point deficit late in the second quarter, but Jay Cutler was able to rally the troops and win the game in San Francisco against the 49ers. Cutler tossed three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to lead the Bears.
Jets need offense to play strong for length of game
New York was en route to a 2-0 start to the season as they led the Packers prior to halftime, but their offense could not keep things going in the second half, gaining just 132 yards. The defense was shredded by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, as he threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns. If the Jets want to win this game, they will need to lean heavily on the run, as the Bears have allowed 5.4 yards per carry to begin 2014.
When the Jets host the Bears for week three NFL action, we will place our bet at Bovada.lv. At this online sportsbook, the Bears are underdogs on the road. We still like them to win with momentum on their side, which is why we will drop 10 percent of our bankroll on Chicago and the OVER 45 total points scored.
