Green Bay Packers: Enjoy playoff success versus 49ers

Getting over the fact that they lost an opportunity to gain a first round bye when they lost in Week 17, Green Bay busted up the Minnesota Vikings 24-10 during Wild Card Weekend. The final score wasn’t indicative of how the game played out as the Packers dominated from start to finish. Green Bay will be looking to avenge the 30-22 home loss to the 49ers back during Week 1 NFL action. The Packers have enjoyed success in the Divisional playoffs against the Niners in the past as they won 27-17 in 1995 and 35-14 in 1996. Green Bay went 4-4 S/U and ATS on the road this season and they are 2-1 in Divisional playoff games since 2007.

San Francisco 49ers: Defense needs to step up to knock of the Packers

San Francisco is playing at home in the NFC Divisional playoff round for the second straight year as the 49ers knocked off the high powered New Orleans Saints with a 36-32 win last year. The 49ers were 6-1-1 S/U and 4-4 ATS spread at home during the 2012 NFL season but they are just 1-8 when hosting the Packers dating back to 1999. The Niners defense needs to step up here as Green Bay has posted 118 points in their last three games. They also need to play like they did in the first half of their 41-34 win over the Patriots back in Week 15 and not like they played in their humiliating 42-13 loss to Seattle in Week 16.

49ers vs Packers NFC Playoff Betting Lines and Online Sports Betting Prediction

We check in at the sportsbetting.com online wagering website for the betting lines on the Green Bay vs San Francisco match-up. The bookmakers have posted the 49ers as -3 (+100) point spread favorites and -150 chalk on the money line. Packer backers get a +3 (-120) spread line and +130 S/U, while the Over/Under is posted at 45 total points. The Packers are firing on all cylinders on offense lately and the 49ers two week layoff could be a factor here. Green Bay is on a roll similar to the one they road when they captured Super Bowl XLV. We’ll back the Pack with the +130 ML odds at the SportsBetting.com online sportbook!
