Will We See Warriors-Hawks Rematch In NBA Finals?

Will We See Warriors-Hawks Rematch In NBA Finals?
It's the game of the year in the NBA on Friday night, and that's not something that would have been expected when the schedule was released in mid-August, as Golden State visits Atlanta in a matchup of the two conference leaders and only teams with single-digit losses.

The Warriors opened as 1-point favorites on Sportsbook.ag. Will we see these two teams again in June? That NBA Finals matchup is +700 but not the favorite. Cleveland-Golden State is at +500. Atlanta’s franchise-record 19-game winning streak ended on Monday in New Orleans, but the Hawks (41-9) bounced back in style with a 105-96 win over Washington on Wednesday for their 34th win in the past 17 games and 11th straight at home — yet this team is an underdog? Jeff Teague scored 26 points and had out eight assists, while Al Horford added 21 points and 13 rebounds, helping the East-leading Hawks pull away in the fourth quarter. : Atlanta improved to 34-2 overall and 19-0 at home when leading at halftime.  Teague, Horford and Paul Millsap are all Eastern Conference All-Stars. The win was Atlanta’s 13th straight against the East. That’s currently the longest streak vs. a conference in the NBA and the second-longest of season. The longest? Golden State’s 14-game win streak vs. the East that was recently ended by the Chicago  Bulls. The Hawks also improved to 12-5 against the Top 8 teams in the East, including 3-0 against the Wizards. The Hawks and Cavs are the only Eastern teams that are above .500 against the top 8 in the East. Plus, the Hawks are 13-3 against the West, easily the best of any team in the NBA. Golden State (39-8) has won three straight by double digits. It beat Dallas 128-114 on Wednesday behind a season-high 51 points from Steph Curry.  He connected on 10 of 16 shots from beyond the arc and 16 of 26 overall. Thirty-eight of Curry’s 51 points came on jump shots, including 23 points on jumpers off the dribble. He was 8-of-13 on contested jumpers.. The Warriors won by 14 points against the Mavericks after trailing by 22 in the 1st quarter. That’s the 2nd-largest win in the NBA in the last five seasons among teams that trailed by 20 or more. It’s not the season high on the Warriors as Klay Thompson had 52 nearly two weeks ago against the Kings. Curry and Thompson are the first pair of teammates to record 50-point games in the same season since 1993-94, when Philadelphia’s Willie Burton and Dana Barros and Dallas’ Jim Jackson and Jamal Mashburn achieved the feat. Curry’s 26 third-quarter points were the second most by a player in the NBA this season, behind only Thompson, who had a record-setting 37 against the Kings in his 52-point game. Curry lost his chance to outscore Thompson’s 50-point game on the free throw line, where he missed two free throws. It’s only the third time this season Curry missed more than one free throw in a game. The Warriors have won five straight against the Hawks, their longest win streak against Atlanta since a seven-game stretch from 2003-05. Golden State has won the last three games in Atlanta and has never won four straight on the road against the franchise Key betting trends: Under is 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings. Warriors are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Underdog is 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings.
