Mayweather vs. McGregor odds

Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather betting options

The on-again, off-again super fight between unbeaten world champion Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight titleholder Conor McGregor is finally etched in stone.

The boxing and Ultimate Fighting Championship worlds will collide on Aug. 26 when Mayweather puts his perfect 49-0 record on the line against McGregor at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather is the odds-on favorite to take down McGregor, but let’s take a closer look at what the top online sportsbooks are offering heading into the highly anticipated bout.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather is a -550 moneyline favorite, according to Bovada, which also pegs McGregor as a +375 dark horse.

Bovada has also set the over/under total rounds line at 9.5. Oddsmakers are predicting a quick bout as the under is a -175 favorite. Betting the over will pay +125.

The popular sportsbook also has several intriguing fight prop wagers bettors will eager to put their money on. A Mayweather KO or TKO victory is paying -155, while a decision win by boxing’s greatest multi-weight class boxer Is offering +220 odds.

Can McGregor do the unthinkable and knock out Mayweather? Bovada has a +425 line set for that scenario and +1600 odds if McGregor can upset Mayweather by decision.

The bout is sure to attract a world-wide audience but will it break pay-per-view records? Bovada has set a projected PPV buys total of 4.99 million. The over pays -150 while the under is set at +110.

Another top online sportsbook is pegging Mayweather as a clear-cut favorite in this matchup. BetOnline is offering -752 odds Mayweather will win outright, while placing McGregor as a +552 underdog for the Aug. 26 bout in Vegas.

Much like Bovada, BetOnline also consider this one to be a mismatch, offering -175 odds Mayweather will walk away with a victory by either KO, TKO or DQ.

Mayweather may have 26 knockouts during his illustrious career, but his last came in 2011 against Victor Ortiz. Since then, Mayweather has won every bout by decision. McGregor, who owns a 21-3 record in the UFC, is a +600 underdog to win by a knockout. However, if there’s any chance the Irishman wins this bout, it’ll have to be with one punch as Mayweather will be difficult to defeat in a strategic boxing match. A McGregor victory by decision pays +2500.

Mayweather is a -700 favorite according to oddsmakers at TopBet, while McGregor enters the match as a +450 underdog.

If you’re considering an over/under bet on total rounds, TopBet has also set the line at 9.5. An over wager will pay out +140 while under is the favorite at -170.

Perhaps TopBet’s most compelling wager is who will get knocked down first. While Mayweather is favored in the bout, it is very possible he gets knocked down first, which pays +400. Mayweather is elusive, but expect McGregor to be aggressive, especially early on in the fight. McGregor is a -600 favorite to hit the canvas first.

The moneyline bet at MyBookie tilts in favor of Mayweather as well, as the popular online sportsbook pegs the star boxer as a -740 favorite to come out on top. If you’re leaning toward taking the upset, MyBookie is offering +520 odds McGregor will in fact pull off the unthinkable and defeat Mayweather in the 12-round bout.

MyBookie has a slew of prop wagers that will entice bettors ahead of the Aug. 26 fight. Mayweather is a +140 favorite to win the bout by unanimous decision. McGregor is not used to straight-up boxing so the Irishman could break some rules, especially if some of his punches are below the belt. Mayweather is also a +800 favorite to come out on top by disqualification.

Prediction: Floyd Mayweather (-550, Bovada)
