Crystal Palace (+400) vs. Manchester United (-150)

Crystal Palace host Manchester United at Selhurst Park hoping to extend their unbeaten run to three games. Palace beat Southampton 3-0 on December 3 and followed that result up with a 3-3 draw against Hull City, yet they still find themselves only three points above the relegation zone.

Palace have the fifth best attack in the Premier League this season having scored 27 goals in 15 games, only failing to score in three matches. However, they also have the fourth worst defense, one that has conceded 29 goals and only kept one clean sheet during the current campaign.

Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at home last weekend, but are still six points behind a Champions League place and 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea. That said, there are signs that Jose Mourinho is starting to get things right at United, which could spell big trouble for Palace in this fixture.

United have won 3-1 on their travels twice this season and if you think the same score line is on the cards you’ll find odds of +1200. More likely is a United victory and despite them being tight at the back when on their travels, I expect Palace to manage to score in this game, which makes a Manchester United win and both teams to score at +260 look like a value bet.

Pick: Both teams to score and Manchester United to win at +260

Manchester City (-400) vs. Watford (+950)

Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City were on the wrong end of a shock 4-2 score line against Leicester City at the weekend, resulting in manager Pep Guardiola losing two consecutive league games for the first time in his managerial career. Don’t expect them to lose three in a row.

City are in fourth place, seven points behind Chelsea, despite only registering two league wins in their previous five fixtures. Defensively, City may have the eighth best record for goals conceded, but have only kept two clean sheets in 15 games and often give the opposition plenty of chances.

Watford climbed to seventh with a 3-2 win over Burnley, but the Hornets are inconsistent on their travels having won two, drawn two, while losing three. Watford have only registered one point away to teams in the top half of the table and then lost 6-1 and 3-1.

This game has the potential to have a ton of goals. City fans will expect a backlash from their team’s poor result last weekend; the over 2.5 goals market is priced at -235 so the bookmakers tend to agree with my thoughts.

City will be without the services of Sergio Aguero thanks to the Argentine being in the middle of a four-match ban, so Kelechi Iheanacho should get a start and will be +300 to open the scoring. However, I fancy Kevin De Bruyne to score at some point at -120 and end a five-game goal drought.

Pick: Kevin De Bruyne to score and Manchester City to win at -110

Tottenham Hotspur (-450) vs. Hull City (+1100)

Tottenham have have fallen to fifth in the table, but can return to the top four by claiming all three points against struggling Hull City.

Spurs have the best defense in the Premier League this season thanks to keeping six clean sheets and only conceding 11 goals in 15 games so don’t expect Hull’s poor forward line to cause them much bother in this fixture, making the -120 on a Spurs win while recording a shutout a great bet.

Hull have lost their last five games on the road and have only register four points from seven games when not on home soil. I fully expect this run to be extended to six consecutive losses when they visit White Hart Lane on Wednesday.

Pick: Tottenham to record a shutout win at -120
