Sports Betting’s Weekly MLB Power Rankings (September 3 Edition)
It's September and playoff chases in the NL and AL are in full swing and America's pastime is pretty darn good. Each and every Thursday we try to sort out which teams reign as the five most fearsome clubs in baseball in our weekly MLB Power Rankings.

5. Chicago Cubs

Odds To Win The World Series: 12/1

As you can see from three of the five spots in our MLB Power Rankings, the top half of the NL Central is a force to be reckoned with. The Cubs have their eyes set on a Wild Card spot and things like Jake Arrieta's no-hitter versus the Dodgers certainly invite hope. Chicago's collection of wonder rookies are also a reason to pay attention to Joe Maddon's squad. Kris Bryant, Addison Russell, Kyle Schwarber and Jorge Soler all point to a very bright future at Wrigley.

4. Pittsburgh Pirates

Odds To Win The World Series: 12/1

As is their lot in life in 2015, the Bucs are the best team not perched at the top of their division. They could make up some ground this week when they roll into St. Louis for a big three game set. Considering that they won't face the Martinez or Wacha portion of the rotation, Pittsburgh has the opportunity to dent the Cards NL Central lead.

3. Toronto Blue Jays

Odds To Win The World Series: 7/2

There's no team in baseball that's been pegged with better odds to win the 2015 World Series. The Jays have been leaving opposing pitching staffs in agony with their unforgiving batting order. Edwin Encarnacion hammered three homers on Saturday and followed that up with another round-tripper on Sunday. Amazing. If Toronto can keep up their post-renovation pace, they should be able to snap up the AL East crown. Helping things along is a week that features sets against division also-rans Baltimore and Boston.

2. Kansas City Royals

Odds To Win The World Series: 11/2

How marvelous have Kansas City been this year? They have a double digit AL Central division lead and that's over a team that's teetering around a Wild Card berth. One thing that's bound to make the Royals even more dangerous is the return of Alex Gordon and the addition of outfielder Jonny Gomes to provide depth. Questions remain whether or not KC can sort out its pitching weaknesses ahead of the postseason. This week, the magnifying glass will be on how the Royals arms do against the White Sox and Twins.

1. St. Louis Cardinals

Odds To Win The World Series: 11/2

The Cardinals continue to build their stockpile of Ws and are in the process of flirting with their franchise-best win mark of 106. St. Louis' aforementioned series against Pittsburgh should be an absolute doozy. Scoring on the Cards has been a herculean task for opponents in 2015. The NL Central leaders hold the best ERA in the Majors and look unlikely to give up that status.
