Boston Celtics at Chicago Bulls (-1.5)

Wade

What a shock wave this series has sent through the basketball world. Chicago became just the second eight-seed to win the first two games of a postseason series on the road. But here's the caveat: the first team that did it, 1993 Lakers, ended up losing the series. However, a Bulls win on Friday would go far in preventing deja vu.

For the first time this season, it appears Chicago's three stars — Jimmy Butler, Rajon Rondo, and Dwyane Wade — are on the same page. Butler and Rondo stuffed the stat sheet in Game 2 with near triple doubles, and Wade sealed the victory with 11 points in the final quarter.

Furthermore, Boston have no answer for Robin Lopez and company, as the Celtics are being pummeled on the glass. The number-one seed was outrebounded 43-38 in game two, a slight improvement from 65-44 in the first game.

Brad Stevens has done an amazing job reviving the once-proud Celtics franchise. But his playoff record is 2-10. This team is about to become the sixth top seed to be toppled in the first round.

Pick: Chicago (-1.5)

Houston Rockets at Oklahoma City Thunder (-2.5)

Game 2 was almost a microcosm of Oklahoma City's entire season. Russell Westbrook put up gaudy numbers — 51 points (the highest-scoring triple-double in playoff history), 13 assists, and 10 rebounds — and the Thunder still lost 115-111. The team's one-man show act ran out of gas late, as Westbrook shot 4-of-18 from the field in the fourth quarter and Oklahoma City mustered just 22 points.

Priority number one for the Thunder to make a comeback in this series is the second unit. Houston's bench outscored Oklahoma City 50-24 in Game 2. Without any depth to lean on, Westbrook logged 41 minutes — seven more than his regular season average. That fatigue reared its ugly head in the fourth quarter as the Thunder wilted its lead.

Playing at home will give Oklahoma City that extra edge they desperately need to steal a game. The Rockets spent the first two games benefitting from hometown calls, going to the charity stripe a combined 63 times. That number is surely going down. Expect one Thunder player to emerge as Westbrook's sidekick and make this series interesting again.

Pick: Oklahoma City (-2.5)

Over/under 197 points: Los Angeles Clippers at Utah Jazz

Defensive Player of the Year candidate Rudy Gobert will miss Game 3 and that's bad news for Utah. The physically less-imposing Derrick Favors has slide from power forward to center in relief, but Los Angeles exploited that to victory in Game 2. The Clippers pounded the Jazz inside, outscoring them 60-38 in the paint.

Los Angeles' big three of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan were nearly unstoppable last game. Together, they scored 63 points off 29-of-47 shooting, 22 rebounds, and 12 assists. Despite their efficiency and no Gobert to protect the rim, the Clippers still failed to crack the century mark in points. You have to believe heading to Utah will nosedive their offense, unless the big three can somehow replicate their monster performance.

As for the Jazz, you know what to expect from them. No Utah player has scored more than 21 points during the first two games, and their snail-pace offense isn't prone to offensive explosions, even in front of the home crowd.

For game three's over/under, it's important to weigh the past two battles. The first game totaled 192 points, followed by 190. We're going to ride that trend and say Friday's matchup will go under 197 points.

Pick: Under
