NBA Eastern Conference Final Game 4 Prediction

Raptors Vs Cavs Game 4 Betting Lines

Toronto Raptors (+6) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (+6)

Take it from someone who is 0-3 for betting on the Eastern Conference Finals: This series is nuts. Every time you think one way, the other way proves to be right. After two blowouts in Games 1 and 2, you thought you could count on the Cleveland Cavaliers to win this series in four games. But then Game 3 happened, and the Toronto Raptors are now alive.

What happens next is anyone's guess. But there are a few signs that point to the Raptors being the best play here, even if it doesn't ultimately mean that they'll win.

Bismack Biyombo was a monster on the glass in Game 3. He set a Raptors franchise record for boards coralled in a single postseason game, blocked shots, finished a few plays at the rim and enlivened the crowd with his spirited efforts and celebration.

Expect him to be a similar catalyst in Game 4. The Cavaliers will do a better job of putting a body on him and fouling whenever necessary, but Biyombo is pure diligence. He will have a positive impact to some degree.

Game 4 also marked the first contest in quite some time that DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry both had decent to great offensive performances. Simultaneous plus-efforts from both has been the key to the Raptors surviving this series. If they can continue to play off one another, it gives Toronto a fighting chance.

No, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love won't lay collective eggs every game. And sure, the Raptors really cannot count on their role players, such as Cory Joseph, Terrence Ross and even Biyombo, exploding as they did in Game 3. But the Cavaliers' defense has been shaky for most of the playoffs, and complementary talent tends to play better at home anyway.

Given all we saw in Game 3, then, we shouldn't expect another blowout in Game 4. But that holds true for either team. The Cavaliers won't sleepwalk anymore, and the Raptors should finally be ready for a dogfight. To bet against them at this point would be to discredit the adjustments head coach Dwane Casey is making to account for the inconsistent play of Lowry and DeRozan, in addition to a death of free-throw opportunities.

Even if you don't expect the Raptors to win, you should expect them to keep things close.

The Pick: Raptors (+6)
