Online Sports Betting's 2015-16 NBA Central Division Preview

Online Sports Betting's 2015-16 NBA Central Division Preview
Is there any squad better in the NBA's Central Division than the Cleveland Cavaliers? No, but it's a division with more to offer than just LeBron. We're taking a look at each team in the Central in our 2015-16 division preview.

Chicago Bulls

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 20/1

Welcome to the Fred Hoiberg era. The former Iowa State has been tapped to take over for the fired Tom Thibodeau and the expectation is that the Bulls will be reinvigorated by Hoiberg's offensive philosophy. (Doing better than last year's 100.8 points-per-game seems probable.) The big hiccup (as always) is whether or not perrenial MVP candidate Derrick Rose can stay healthy throughout the season and into the playoffs. If Rose is in sick bay again, the load will fall heavily on the shoulders of Jimmy Butler yet again.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 11/4

The Cavs have unfinished business and they're sort of team where their season doesn't seem to truly start into the postseason. LeBron carried the team on his back last year but was cruelly ousted in the finals by the Warriors. His supporting cast (who were decimated by injuries in 2015) is slowly but surely coming back. Kevin Love is making progress in his shoulder recovery and Kyrie Irving's knee rehab is reportedly going great. King James has shown that he can carry this team even if the roster's been cut to the bone, but Cleveland basketball fans are praying it doesn't come to that. Even with the offseason additions not being too glamourous (sorry Mo Williams), the Cavaliers look to contend for a title again in the competition weak Eastern Conference.

Detroit Pistons

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 100/1

Can the combo of Reggie Jackson and Stan Van Gundy be the ones to elevate Detroit out of the wilderness? Possibly. The Pistons brass sorted out a 5 year $80 million deal with Jackson which should give an idea of how much faith the franchise has in the 25-year-old. The roster's undergone some notable subtractions (Caron Butler, Greg Monroe), but at least there's a twinkle of hope at The Palace of Auburn Hills. That optimism will get an extra boost if newly drafted Arizona forward Stanley Johnson can contribute right away.

Indiana Pacers

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 50/1

The Indiana Pacers went into freefall in 2014-15, going from an Eastern Conference powerhouse the year before to a playoff-missing bust the year after. To be fair, Paul George being out the bulk of the season due to injury had a big hand in the Pacers stumbling through an ugly campaign. Indiana are counting on PG-13 to help bring this former dynamo back to life and the arrival of Monta Ellis and first round pick Myles Turner should be a big plus too. One obstacle facing the club's potential rebirth? David West opting out of his contract to sign a deal with the San Antonio Spurs.

Milwaukee Bucks

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 50/1

Arguably the biggest mystery in the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee will look to follow-up last year's playoff appearance with a longer postseason stay in 2016. The Bucks are positively brimming with young talent, boasting a roster with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Michael Carter-Williams and Jabari Parker in their ranks, the arrival of guys like Greg Monroe and Grevis Vasquez will provide some additional help. Is this the year that Milwaukee establishes itself as one of the NBA's best young teams? We'll have to wait and see, but there's a lot of evidence pointing to the Bucks being great in 2015-16.
