Online Sports Betting’s Weekly NBA Power Rankings (October 29 Edition)

Online Sports Betting’s Weekly NBA Power Rankings (October 29 Edition)
It's never too early to sort out the NBA's five more fearsome squads in our weekly Power Rankings. Each and every Thursday, Online Sports Betting will unveil a rundown of the five best teams in basketball today. Here's how we see it on October 29.

5. Los Angeles Clippers

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 12/1

The Clip Show (complete with DeAndre Jordan in tow) kicked off their latest campaign with a 111-104 victory over the lowly Sacramento Kings. New additions Paul Pierce and Lance Stephenson both contributed in the win, although their value's still tied to what they can do for L.A. in the postseason. Los Angeles are still on the hunt for their first Conference Finals appearance in franchise history, a milestone that point guard Chris Paul is also aching for. Tonight's clash versus the Mavs could be a preview of a future playoff series. The Clips are favoured by eleven in the contest.

4. Cleveland Cavaliers

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 3/1

We'd plunk the Cavs higher, but their season opening loss to the Bulls has plunked them in the #4 slot for the time being. The mighty Cavs may have been bested 97-95 against Chicago, but an absolute 106-76 thrashing of the traditionally tough Grizzlies should show that Cleveland's still the title contender we all know they are. All eyes are currently fixed on the progress of Kyrie Irving who's slated to be out until January with a fractured knee cap. Until he returns, LeBron James (who's now in his 30s) will have to shoulder a heavier chunk of the load.

3. Chicago Bulls

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 10/1

The Fred Hoiberg era in Chicago is off to a spectacular start. The freshly minted Bulls coach has seen his new squad rack up wins over Cleveland and Brooklyn. The transition's still on from Tom Thibodeau's defense-heavy philosophy to Hoiberg's new system, but things have gone swimmingly so far. One cause for concern is how banged up the team seems off the hop. Joakim Noah and Kirk Hinrich are currently day-to-day two games into the season. Mind you, it's Derrick Rose's health that everyone will gawk at.

2. Oklahoma City Thunder

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 13/2

OKC's ready to go for full Lazarus Pit on the National Basketball Association. An unplanned detour into injury hell last year had the Thunder missing the playoffs, but Kevin Durant's healthy and reteamed with Russell Westbrook and that's scary news for the rest of the league. Oklahoma City topped San Antonio 112-106 in their season opener and provided new coach Billy Donovan with his first NBA win in the process. This week's action features Oklahoma City taking on a mixed bag of challenges versus Orlando, Denver, Houston and Toronto.

1. Golden State Warriors

Odds To Win The NBA Championship: 7/2

It looks like your defending NBA champs are hungry for back-to-back titles. Golden State opened up the season with a 111-95 smackdown of New Orleans that included 40 points and 7 assists from reigning MVP Steph Curry. Tomorrow night features a rematch of last summer's Western Conference Finals with the Warriors heading to Houston to take on James Harden and the Rockets.
