NBA Betting Lines Picks Tonight

All odds for Wednesday's NBA games come courtesy of TopBet. Please be sure, as always, to recheck the lines before deciding on a wager, as they can be rather fluid based on injury reports and onset wagers.

Cleveland Cavaliers (-1.5) at Charlotte Hornets (+1.5)

Book Cavs For Third Straight Win

Picking against the Cleveland Cavaliers has become the sexy thing to do in the NBA betting sphere—and for good reason. They're a categorical mess. They rank dead last in points allowed per 100 possessions, and their offense is missing a secondary ball-handler who can take some of the playmaking responsibilities off LeBron James while providing a pinch of dribble penetration and off-ball shooting.

The Cavaliers won't be getting any relief until Isaiah Thomas returns from a hip injury, but they can take solace in knowing the Charlotte Hornets are basically a non-threat. They have been unable to manufacture offense without Kemba Walker on the court. Entering Wednesday night, they go from scoring like the league's second-best offense when he's in the game, to posting the efficiency mark of the NBA's worst attack by a lightyear, according to NBA.com.

Nicolas Batum's return should help even things out for them, but this will mark his first game back from an elbow injury. And if you remember, he wasn't very good in the solo act role last season.

The Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers (-1.5)

Philadelphia 76ers (-3) at Los Angeles Lakers (+3)

Keep Trusting The (Sixers') Process

Three points feels incredibly low for a Philadelphia 76ers squad working off an impressive victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. They've had a day to rest, which means Joel Embiid won't be sitting this one out, and they've been statistical fire when he's on the court, per NBA.com.

The Los Angeles Lakers, meanwhile, cannot seem to piece together consistent efforts when rookie Lonzo Ball is in the lineup. His defense has, surprisingly, been quite okay. But he's not aggressive enough when looking for his own shot on the offensive end, which makes the Lakers predictable and easier to defend.

Count on Philly's quartet of Embiid, Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick and Robert Covington leaving their mark on Staples Center for a second consecutive contest.

The Pick: Jump on this spread whilst you can.

Indiana Pacers (+4.5) at Memphis Grizzlies (-4.5)

The Grizzlies Are Your Friend

The Memphis Grizzlies have cooled off after a scalding hot start, losing each of their last two and six of their past 10 overall. But the Indiana Pacers haven't been any better. They've dropped six of their last 10 tilts as well and are finally crashing back down to Earth after their own blistering start to the year.

Something needs to give for the Grizzlies offense, which ranks 18th in points scored per 100 possessions. And it probably will against the Pacers. They're 23rd in points allowed per 100 possessions. They don't have the physical defenders necessary to jostle with Memphis' inside-out approach.

Equally important: Unlike the Pacers, the Grizzlies have the ability to deploy all-bench units that give all their starters some rest at the same time. This is a big deal, because the Grizzlies' starters haven't been good. They miss the injured JaMychal Green and have shuffled Andrew Harrison and Dillon Brooks in and out of the opening five while waiting for the now-healthy Ben McLemore to recover from his leg injury.

The Grizzlies are deeper and, overall, just plain better. They should be able to capitalize on the feeble state of a Pacers squad starting to realize they're not all that good.

The Pick: Memphis Grizzlies (-4.5)

Washington Wizards (-1) at Miami Heat (+1)

Washington Has A Road Cover In Its Future

Things are starting to come together for the Washington Wizards now that Markieff Morris is back in the rotation. They were rocky at first, but they've really gotten their act together during their latest three-game win streak.

This stretch has admittedly included victories over weaker squads like the Lakers, Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings, but there's no refuting the Wizards' extra depth in the aftermath of Morris' return. They now exhibit the trust in Kelly Oubre Jr. to have him headline all-bench units, an approach that served them well in Monday's win over the Kings.

Though the Miami Heat pose a different challenge, their offense remains crud, checking in at 24th in points scored per 100 possessions. They don't have the reliable firepower right now to pull off an upset against a roster that seems to be nearing its stride.

The Pick: Washington Wizards (-1)

San Antonio Spurs (+5) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (-5)

Ride Or Die With The Spurs

This game has all the classic signs of a San Antonio Spurs laydown. They just played, and beat, the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, a contest in which they were unable to put away early. Knowing this game won't be on national television, head coach Gregg Popovich is liable to bench all his key troops and let the surging Minnesota Timberwolves notch another victory.

But the Spurs have yet to substantially employ a rest night on the second end of a back-to-back, and Popovich conserved the minutes of a few players on Tuesday, suggesting he's prepared to give it a full go in Minnesota. And if the Spurs are going to be even close to full strength, they have to be the pick.

The Pick: San Antonio Spurs (+5)
