5 College Football Games Worth Watching In Week 11

5 College Football Games Worth Watching In Week 11
College football is in full swing and that means tons of big ticket FBS contests jockeying for your attention. We've cherrypicked five games that are definitely worth tuning in for this week, including a colossal Oklahoma/Baylor Big 12 tilt in Waco.

Disclaimer: The rankings listed are the AP Top 25 rankings and not the updated College Football Football rankings that will be released on Tuesday night.

The Big Game

#12 Oklahoma (8-1) at #4 Baylor (8-0) - Saturday, November 14 (McLane Stadium, Waco, TX)

Undefeated teams are an endangered species and that puts a lot of pressure on freshman QB Jarrett Stidham this Saturday in Waco. The Baylor pivot looked great scoring 3 TDs and racking up 400+ yards in a 31-24 win over Kansas State, but the degree of difficulty is amped up this weekend with the Sooners and their 46 points-per-game offensive output. (Baylor's favoured by three, although we should note that OU is 7-2 against the spread in 2015.) Both schools have super tough schedules to close out the year, so a win in this Big 12 showdown is essential for any playoff aspirations.

Four More To Watch

#3 Alabama (8-1) at #20 Mississippi State (7-2) - Saturday, November 14 (Davis Wade Stadium, Starkville, MS)

An early loss to Ole Miss has proven to be far from fatal for Nick Saban and Alabama. As long as the Crimson Tide look like a beast (see: last week vs. LSU), they'll be considered the class of the one loss schools. Bama's solid offensive line will get a workout on the road against a Bulldogs squad that's notched 25 sacks already on the season. Speaking of battles to watch, Bulldogs star QB Dak Prescott will get a serious challenge from DB Eddie Jackson and a sturdy Tide D. Oddsmakers favour Alabama by seven in this potential SEC classic.

#25 Memphis (8-1) at #16 Houston (9-0) - Saturday, November 14 (TDECU Stadium, Houston, TX)

A decisive 45-20 Memphis upset at the hands of Navy has sent the American Conference a little topsy-turvy and now Houston's the perfect team left in that part of the NCAA wilderness. This evening clash has all the makings of an amazing showcase for Paxton Lynch (of Memphis) and Greg Ward Jr. (of Houston) to outduel one another at QB. As this game goes (Houston's favoured by six) so does the conference.

Minnesota (4-5) at #8 Iowa (9-0) - Saturday, November 14 (Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City, IA)

The Hawkeyes (who are either wildly overrated or wildly underrated) continue to build their case for a potential playoff berth. A robust 9-0, Iowa have neutralized offensive attacks with a defense that's only sacrificed 16.6 points-per-game and appear destined for a spot in the Big Ten title game. Standing in the way of undefeated glory this week? A pesky Minnesota squad that's come close to upsetting TCU and Michigan this year. Are Iowa legit? Flexing some scoring muscle on Saturday would be a great way to get more folks on the bandwagon. The Hawkeyes are an 11.5 home favourite this weekend.

Oregon (6-3) at #8 Stanford (8-1) - Saturday, November 14 (Stanford Stadium, Stanford, CA)

After competing for attention with the mirage of a perfect Utah season, Stanford has stepped up as the best team in the Pac-12. Stanford, a nine point favourite, have the potential to lock up the Pac-12 North with a win over Oregon. The Ducks could decimate the Cardinal's defense if sophomore rusher extraordinaire Royce Freeman adds big to his 1289 ground yards on the season. Mind you, Stanford's Christian McCaffrey's no slouch lugging the rock either. Oregon's underwhelming W-L record takes a tiny bit of the luster out of this game, but it's still a potential gem.
