5 College Football Stars That Will Be In High Demand At The 2016 NFL Draft

5 College Football Stars That Will Be In High Demand At The 2016 NFL Draft
Has your favourite NFL squad been a wreck in 2015? Don't wallow in sadness too much. 2016 is around the corner and that means you can already start lusting over which college football standouts can rescue your franchise come next year's draft.

DE Joey Bosa - Ohio State

Is standout defensive end Joey Bosa the man to save a struggling franchise's defense? According to the current run of mock drafts placing the Buckeye product at #1, the answer seems to be yes. This 6'6'' junior has been a beast at Ohio State with his versatility, strength, toughness and discipline making him the crown jewel of Urban Meyer's defense. The stats back up his hype with 51 tackles for a loss in 40 games played and 5 sacks racked up in 2015. Bosa's Buckeyes will be a six-and-a-half point favourite on New Year's Day when they play Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

OT Ronnie Stanley - Notre Dame

Speaking of that Fiesta Bowl tilt, let's talk about one of college football's best offensive lineman who happens to play for the Fighting Irish. Ronnie Stanley has been an enormous asset to Notre Dame's offensive line and the players that have been bailed out by it. This 6'6'' behemoth plays tackle with speed and skill and effective use of his large frame. He's a still developing prospect with loads of potential that goes beyond what he's been demonstrating on the field in college play. The knock on Stanley is the concern he might not have the easiest transition to the pros as he continues to tweak his game.

WR Laquon Treadwell - Ole Miss

Ole Miss should have a pretty good turnout when the 2016 NFL Draft rolls around. In addition to having likely Top 10 (possibly Top 5) picks in OT Laremy Tunsill and DT Robert Nkemdiche, they also boast this crop's elite wideout in Laquon Treadwell. The gifted wide reciever bounced back from a frightening knee injury to morph into the most dangerous target in college football. He's a threat with his size and ability to keep generating yards after the catch. This year Treadwell snagged 76 passes, 8 TDs and 1082 yards. Not too shabby. By the way, Ole Miss will be a seven point favourite in their Sugar Bowl battle with Oklahoma State.

QB Paxton Lynch - Memphis

There's always a hunger for pivots in the National Football League (just look at Cleveland and St. Louis) and Memphis QB Paxton Lynch has been tapped as the most coveted quarterback of the moment. Scouts are fond of Lynch's size, accuracy and ability to throw in motion. His 2015 campaign of 28 TDs with only 3 picks is also something enchanting his endorsers. The biggest worry for franchises looking to nab Lynch? There's the concern that the offense generated by Lynch is inflated by the boost he's been given in Memphis' scheme. He'll have another opportunity to showcase his talents on December 30 when the two-and-a-half point underdog Tigers take on Auburn in the Birmingham Bowl.

CB Jalen Ramsey - Florida State

Looking to give you secondary a boost? Jalen Ramsey is being heralded as the best draft option going for 2016 in a talent-packed cornerback position. He's a brilliant player with the ability to provide the skills of a linebacker and safety in his overall package. You can catch Ramsey putting his talent on display on New Year's Eve when Florida State (a seven point favourite) takes on Houston in the Peach Bowl.
