5 NFL Games Worth Watching In Week 10

5 NFL Games Worth Watching In Week 10
The National Football League offers up yet another collection of gridiron action for your amusement and some contests are clearly better than others. (Sorry, Texans/Bengals.) We've cherrypicked the five best games of Week 10 for your convenience and scheduling sanity.

The Big Game

New England (8-0) at New York Giants (5-4) - Sunday, November 15th 4:25 PM ET

Poor New England. They may be decimating the NFL on their current revenge tour and hold seven point underdog favourite status for this weekend's showdown, but games against the Giants conjure up some horrible imagery for Pats fans. (Multiple Super Bowl losses, anyone?) New England's currently 8-0 with a stellar offense that racks up a league-best 34.3 points-per-game. The G-Men have been able to fix their own scoreboard muscle this year and their 52-49 Week 8 loss to the Saints shows they can hang with a hot offense. One hiccup for Bill Belichick on Sunday: Running back Dion Lewis is done for the year with an ACL injury.

Four More To Watch

Buffalo (4-4) at New York Jets (5-3) - Thursday, November 12th 8:25 PM ET

Capturing the division title might be out of the reach for both these AFC East squads, but chasing down a Wild Card berth seems very much in the realm of responsibility. Bills coach heads into his old workplace with new club playing the role of a two-and-a-half point road underdog. You wouldn't think a Ryan Fitzpatrick/Tyrod Taylor QB battle would be an enticing offer to stay home on a Thursday night, but both pivots have been playing well above expectations this year. Buffalo's scoring got a big boost last week with Sammy Watkins and Karlos Williams in the mix, a trend that the Bills want to keep going in primetime.

Minnesota (6-2) at Oakland (4-4) - Sunday, November 15th 4:05 PM ET

Two consecutive losses have Green Bay losing their grip on the NFC North lead and plunks the Pack in a tie with the Vikes. Minnesota have 7-2 within their sights with a competitive Oakland squad serving as the next hurtle. The Vikings have a very difficult schedule for their season's second half, which means a win over the Raiders is key for any future playoff plans. Meanwhile, the Raiders took a tough 38-35 L versus the Steelers last week and have frustration to take out on their midwestern guests. Oakland QB Derek Carr has been a marvel this year and has the most TD passes over an eight game stretch in Raiders history since 1969. The line opened with Oakland favoured by a field goal.

Kansas City (3-5) at Denver (7-1) - Sunday, November 15th 4:25 PM ET

Peyton Manning and the Broncos saw their perfect season aspirations turn to dust in Indianapolis last weekend. A clash with division rivals Kansas City could provide Denver with a bounce back moment or a frightening dip further into the realm of losing. (Denver's currently a seven point home favourite for Sunday's contest.) The Broncos could really stand to sort out their underwhelming running game, one that only produced a paltry 35 yards last week. By the way, Peyton's 14-1 lifetime when facing the Chiefs.

Arizona (6-2) at Seattle (4-4) - Sunday, November 15th 8:30 PM ET

The Cardinals are coming off a bye week and have a date with the defending NFC champs to greet them. Carson Palmer probably isn't looking forward to facing that scary Seattle defense, but the return of healthy wideout options makes his life a lot easier. On the flip side, Seattle needs to figure out a way to protect their pivot Russell Wilson. The O-line has let opposing clubs feast on their signalcaller and have allowed the most sacks of any team in the league. Seattle (a three point home favourite) could really use this win if they want back into the postseason picture.
