Should You Expect Eagles QB Jalen Hurts to Score a Touchdown in Super Bowl 57?

The Eagles have looked to capitalize on their ground game in recent weeks rather than task Jalen Hurts (+105) with a ton of throwing responsibility. Through each of his first two postseason games, he has yet to attempt more than 25 passes.

Granted, this is at least partially because the Philadelphia Eagles were playing with huge leads over the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants. But it's also a continuation of their reliance on the rushing game during the regular season.

For his part, Hurts features prominently into that approach. He is among the most dangerous threats to run the ball out of the pocket in the league. And given how much Kansas City has struggled to contain quarterbacks, we expect Hurts to find the end zone with his legs at least once.

Better Bet to Score a Touchdown in Super Bowl 57: A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith?

Most will immediately throw their money at A.J. Brown (+125), because he's considered the No. 1 receiver on Philadelphia. However, defenses have made shutting him down a primary focus during the postseason. It's clear the opposition will sell out to limit his opportunities.

That has paved the way for¬†DeVonta Smith (+180)¬†to borderline dominate.¬†Jalen Hurts has targeted him through the air more often than Brown, and he has more receiving yards than anyone else on the team‚ÄĒincluding Brown‚ÄĒto show for it.

Of course, the Eagles have a penchant for running the football when they get inside the red zone. That adds a layer of risk to Smith's touchdown-catch odds. But if you're going to invest in a Philadelphia receiver, he should be your guy.

Travis Kelce Feels Like a Lock to Score Against the Eagles

After going without a touchdown catch in the Kansas City Chiefs' final six games of the regular season, Travis Kelce (-124) has now notched a six-point score in each of their first two playoff tilts. We're counting on him to find the end zone again during Super Bowl 57.

Without question, the worse-than-even-money payout is disheartening. And yet, it's also apropos. Patrick Mahomes is still dealing with an ankle injury, and two of Kansas City's top receivers, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling left the AFC Championship early with injuries of their own.

This is all to say: At less than full strength, the Chiefs will use Kelce as an offensive crutch. We wouldn't be surprised if he brings in more than one TD.

Who's More Like to Score a TD for the Chiefs in Super Bowl 57: JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Jerick McKinnon?

As we just mentioned, both JuJu Smith-Schuster (+195) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (+195) will be playing at less than full strength entering Super Bowl 57. That hurts their chances of tallying a touchdown considerably.

Furthermore, the Chiefs prefer to use each of them as downfield threats. Mahomes will target others when the team is in the red zone. Unless it's a big-yardage play, then, it'll be hard for Smith-Schuster and Valdes-Scantling to get on the board. And given how stifling the Eagles pass rush can be, we're not sure Kansas City will afford Mahomes the time he needs in the pocket to make those long throws.

That leaves us with Jerick McKinnon (+175). Though he's not listed as the top running back on the depth chart, he actually led the team in rushing touchdowns during the regular season. He hasn't found the end zone in over a month, but with the Chiefs offense banged up, he could be in line for a huge opportunity.
