The Stars are a favorite once again, despite sitting in a 3-0 hole in the series. They come in at -120 moneyline odds, while the Golden Knights sit at +109. The total is set at just 5.5, with the over being hit in the first two games of the west finals.

Vegas in Command

The Golden Knights are just one victory away from making their second Stanley Cup since 2018 when they ultimately lost to Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in five games. Vegas has truly been a force in these playoffs, dropping just three games altogether. Bruce Cassidy's group took care of the Winnipeg Jets in five before eliminating the Edmonton Oilers in six games. And by the looks of it, this series is taking a similar trajectory.

Vegas came out of the gates firing Tuesday after a pair of thrilling OT victories in Games 1 and 2. The Golden Knights essentially put the contest out of reach in the first 20 minutes, with Jonathan Marchessault, Ivan Barbashev, and William Carrier all scoring in the opening period.

Alex Pietrangelo added a fourth in the second and Dallas basically had no answer. In goal, Adin Hill continued to shine with 34 saves. Vegas can either close things out Thursday on the road or go back home and possibly do it in front of their home fans. Whatever it may be, they're clearly in control of the series.

Stars in Serious Trouble

The Stars had only lost once on home ice before Tuesday's brutal defeat and now must win or their season is officially done. Peter DeBoer's team actually had a ton of chances in Game 3, outshooting their opponents 34-16. But, Dallas couldn't beat Hill, who was rock solid in between the posts.

To be honest, the Stars were out of this game fairly early and didn't show much fight. Goaltender Jake Oettinger exited early because of all the goals he was letting in just after captain Jamie Benn for a dirty hit on Vegas captain Mark Stone. Benn is likely going to face a suspension, too.

Dallas also had two shorthanded opportunities but couldn't capitalize. While their impressive record at home is a good sign for Thursday's affair, this series is essentially over. Coming back from a 3-0 holy simply doesn't happen in any sport.
