Record: 14-1, Won Cotton Bowl and College Football Championship
The Alabama Crimson Tide, to no one’s surprise, are making their second appearance.
Last year’s squad rode a top-three defense to the national championship game, and it worked. Ironically, they needed to rely upon their offense to get out of that contest, as they just edged out the Clemson Tigers 45-40.
But that only speaks to the Tide’s balance. Back then, they could win any game, playing any styleand that’s still true today.
