No Dwyane Wade-LeBron James Showdown Wednesday In Cleveland

No Dwyane Wade-LeBron James Showdown Wednesday In Cleveland
You know that Miami's Dwayne Wade would like to go up against his former teammate and good friend LeBron James on Wednesday night when the Heat make their first visit of the season to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but Wade will miss his seventh straight game with a hamstring injury and also will sit out Sunday's All-Star Game in New York.

The Cavs are 11.5-point favorites on Sportsbook.ag with a total of 193.5. Wade did practice on Tuesday but said: “I feel good, but the smart thing to me is to use the All-Star break to rest and get healthier.” With Wade unavailable, Chris Bosh and Luol Deng will be asked to lift a heavier load on offense, and Shabazz Napier will see some extended minutes. The Heat ended a three-game losing streak Monday, 109-95, against the Knicks. Chris Bosh led Miami with 32 points, while Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole and Napier combined to give Miami 35 points, 17 assists and only five turnovers from the guard spot. Wade and Bosh have played together in only 28 of Miami’s 51 games. This is Miami’s final game before the break. Cleveland has won 13 of its past 14 games and routed the visiting Lakers 120-105 on Sunday. Kevin Love had a season-high 32 points, while LeBron had 22 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. All-Star guard Kyrie Irving added 28 points and 10 assists. It was first time the Cavaliers have had three players with 20 & 10 in the same game (in any category) since Dec. 4, 2004. James is averaging 28.1 points over his last 13 games (since he missed 8 straight games spanning Dec. 30 – Jan. 11). For the season, James is averaging 26.1 PPG. If he finishes the year averaging 25+ PPG, he would tie Jerry West and Karl Malone for the most consecutive 25+ PPG seasons. The Cavs have now won a season-high nine straight games at Quicken Loans Arena, their longest since an 11-game home winning streak from Feb. 23-Apr. 6, 2010. They are outscoring foes by 14.7 points per game over their current home winning streak (108.1-93.4), while holding the opposition to a combined .401 shooting from the field. The Cavs have won by double figures in eight of those nine wins at The Q. James has 6,107 career assists and with eight more assists, he will pass John Havlicek (6,114) for the second-most assists by a forward in NBA history. Scottie Pippen has the most assists by a forward with 6,135. Love is 14 rebounds away from 5,000 for his career. He is already the fastest player in league history to reach 4,000 rebounds and 500 three-pointers (401 games). This will be his 416th game. Cleveland visited Miami in a hyped game on Christmas, James’ first trip back to south Florida. The Heat won 101-91 behind 31 points from Wade. James had 30 points and eight assists for the Cavaliers, who got 25 from Irving and 14 from Love. Key betting trends: Heat are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Heat are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU win of more than 10 points. Heat are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Central. Cavaliers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Cavaliers are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games. Cavaliers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Cavaliers are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games overall.
