NBA 2012 Western Conference Playoff Betting Lines

Oklahoma & San Antonio: Favorites In The Wild West

After leading NBA Western Conference throughout most of the 2011-12 regular season, the Okahoma City Thunder were tracked down, and then over-taken, by the white hot San Antonio Spurs. Thanks to a 10-0 run to close out the season, the Spurs (50-16) won the West by three games over the Thunder (47-19).

However, just as it is in the East with the Bulls and Heat, Oklahoma comes in at +110 favorites over first place San Antonio (+190) in NBA West. One notable difference in the West is the gap between the second and third favorites. In the East, the Boston Celtics drop off by a total of +740 from the Chicago Bulls. Over in the West, the Los Angeles Lakers are just +460 behind the Spurs with a +650 West Championship betting line.

NBA West Championship Wagering Odds: The Best Of The Rest

Bettors shouldn’t totally discount the Los Angeles Clippers as they are the fourth favorite at +1100. In fact, of any of the value added wagering odds, we see the Clippers as the best of the bunch. The Memphis Grizzles are also at +1100 and the defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks own +1800 odds. As for the best the rest, the Denver Nuggets will pay +3300, and the Utah Jazz will return +8000 if they can win the West.

After three games in the East today, the West action kicks into gear when the Mavericks visit the Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Tip off is slated for 9:30 PM ET on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Wagering windows are open right up until game-time, and then for live in-game betting, throughout the NBA 2012 Playoff party.
