Brewers in Late-Season Free Fall as Division Lead Disappears

Cubs making it difficult for NL Central rivals right now

Chicago has had a fun time making things difficult for the Brewers in this series. They have taken the first two games by a combined score of 11-3. They will send rookie Kyle Hendricks to the mound on Wednesday night. He is 5-1 with an ERA of 1.91 this year. He finished the month of August with a 4-0 record and an ERA of 1.69 in six impressive starts. He will look to dominate the Brewers for a second time this season.

Brewers quickly dropping further down the standings

After finally relinquishing the lead in the NL Central to the Cardinals, it looked like the Brewers would be able to stay in a tie atop the division. But, they have played incredibly bad of late, losing seven straight games to drop to two games behind the Cardinals for the lead. Matt Garza will be asked to stop the skid tonight when he takes the mound with a 7-7 record. He is making his first start since August 3 due to a stint on the DL.

The Cubs are playing spoiler right now for the Brewers in the Central race and they are enjoying every minute of it. They look to do much of the same with a sweep tonight at home. We will drop 10 percent of our bankroll on the Cubs and the UNDER 8.5 total runs scored at -115 at as they take all three games of this series from the Brewers.
