Canucks vs. Kings: LA Steals Two Games In Vancouver
There’s still lots of playoff hockey to be played – how much more in Canada is debatable. The Los Angeles Kings invaded Canada’s West Coast and took no prisoners as they snatched the first two games of their series with Vancouver. The Canucks are the #1 seed in the Western Conference and have dug a huge first round hole. They are going to win one game, but we advise caution when betting them the rest of the way!
Look for the Canucks to switch up their netminders as the series shifts to La La Land. While he hasn’t been that bad, ‘Nucks goaltender Roberto Luongo has allowed eight goals in six periods and will head to the bench in favor of Cory Schneider. The Canucks also miss Daniel Sedin who is out with a concussion. His absence is most notable on the powerplay as the Canucks are 0-10 with the man advantage in two games.
Senators vs Rangers: Game Two Goes In The Big Apple Today
Coming of a 4-2 beat down at Madison Square Garden back on Thursday, the Ottawa Senators are looking to take their first round series with New York back to Canada tied at a game apeice. That is way easier said as they are on enemy soil and they need to figure out a way to beat G Henrik Lundqvist – early in the game.
Make no mistake, the ‘Sens two goals scored in the series opener were very “oh by the way” in nature. You could see that New York had taken the pedal off the metal and were just coasting home after building up a 4-0 third period lead. We expect a similar result as the Rangers will romp in the Big Apple tonight!
