Columbus and Dallas Jockeying for Playoff Positioning Monday Night

Dallas sitting in eighth spot of the West

The Stars enter tonight’s game sitting in the eighth spot of the Western Conference, which is why they want to string together a host of wins starting with their contest against Columbus on Monday. The Stars have won two straight games and are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games played. Dallas has been on a roll of late, which is why they have moved into the eighth spot in the West. They want to climb as high as possible to grab a better seed though.

Columbus also in eighth in the East

This should be such an exciting contest because these two teams are very evenly matched, as Columbus also sits in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games played and enter this contest off a win over the Nashville Predators, a 1-0 victory. Since the Eastern Conference race is very tight, the Blue Jackets are just six points from the third seed in the conference. A win tonight would help Columbus very much.

The oddsmakers from Bovada like the host Stars by 1.5 points with the Blue Jackets in town. With both teams fighting for points as we get closer to the playoffs, this should be one of the better games on the NHL schedule Monday night. We will lay the line for Dallas with 15 percent of our bankroll as they hold off Columbus at home.
