Detroit vs. Chicago: Vaporizer Looks to Complete Tigers Sweep
Detroit Tigers: Smooth start to second half playoff push
Good, but not great during the first half of the season, the Tigers have won three straight contests. With ace Justin Verlander on the bump – Detroit is looking to sweep the White Sox (19-7 count so far) to close out a productive four game road series as they continue their “second half” postseason push. The Vaporizer, like the rest of his mates – save for Miguel Cabrera, had an up and down first half as he is 10-7 with a surprising high 3.69 ERA and an equally surprisingly low total of just 128 strikeouts. We love JV in the daylight though!
Chicago White Sox: When is Da Bears first NFL game at Soldier Field?
That’s what White Sox fans are thinking as Chicago (39-59) is now 16 games back of Detroit in the AL Central and the same number of games out of the Wild Card chase. By the way, Chicago hosts Cincinnati as -3.5 chalk on September 8 – back the Bengals in that one! Although they’re not all that bad in the stats category, this Chicago club stinks as they are 15-31 since June 1, 2013. The White Sox did rough up Verlander for five runs on 12 hits back on July 9 at Comerica Park – that only means they’ll be facing a vengeful Vaporizer!

It’s no surprise that Detroit is road chalk on the betting board at topbet.eu in this contest today. The Motor City Crew is -1.5 (+115) ATS and -135 S/U. The White Sox are home dogs at +1.5 (-135) ATS and +125 S/U while the Over/Under is set at 8 (O -105 U -115) total runs. We like Verlander and the Motown Cats to complete the sweep here so we’ll dial in with Detroit and the -135 money line price at the TopBet Sportsbook & Casino!
