Dodgers Look to Extend Win Streak to Four Games with Cardinals in Town

Dodgers ask Ryu to continue dominance of Cardinals

Hyun-Jin Ryu has dominated the Cardinals in limited action during his young career, including an NLCS game six start that kept the Dodgers from elimination for one day. He also defeated St. Louis last August 8, his only other career appearance against the Cardinals. Ryu is 9-3 this season with an ERA of 3.06 ERA. He has won six of his last seven starts and is tied for second in the National League in wins.

Cardinals need Martinez to pick up slack in rotation

St. Louis has sent pitcher after pitcher to the disabled list this season, which is why Carlos Martinez is in the rotation. Many fans thought he should have won a rotation spot out of Spring Training due to his performance, but he was relegated to the bullpen. Martinez will need to find a way to limit the Dodgers offense tonight to get the Cardinals a win in this four-game set. Martinez is just 1-3 this year with a 4.33 earned run average.

The Cardinals and the Dodgers collide yet again on Friday night in what should be a very fun series. We will place our bets at Sportsbook.ag, where the Dodgers are -1.5 (+145) at home. We are going to drop 15 percent of our bankroll on the Dodgers and Ryu as we lay the line and they grab a second straight win in this series on Friday night.
