Giants Visit Nationals for Game One of NLDS After Wild Card Win

Washington not satisfied with NL East title

The Nationals still have the monkey on their backs from 2012. They were three outs away from advancing to the NLCS when their bullpen imploded and allowed the Cardinals to take the lead and win the game. The loss eliminated Washington from the playoffs in the NLDS. Strasburg did not pitch in those playoffs, so today will be his playoff debut. How will he handle the incredible pressure? We will find out in a matter of hours.

San Francisco has vast experience on their side

The Giants have been here before, winning the World Series in 2010 and 2012. They are a team laden with playoff veterans, who have made multiple playoff appearances with multiple teams. They will be difficult to beat in this series, no matter who they face on the mound. Peavy won a World Series title with Boston in 2013. This will be the sixth playoff start for Peavy in his career. He will oppose one of his off-season workout friends in Strasburg.

We move our wager to on Friday afternoon when the Nationals host the Giants for game one of the NLDS from Nationals Park. We will bet 10 percent of our bankroll on Strasburgh and the Nats as they grab the victory at home. We like the -190 money line for the Nationals in this contest.
