Green Bay vs Detroit Thursday NFL Online Betting Advice

Detroit Lions: Aiming for sole possession of first

Detroit is working on securing the top spot in the NFC North with a win on Thursday against the Green Bay Packers, their division rivals. The Lions suffered a loss on Sunday to the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 24-21. It was their second consecutive loss, dropping them into the tie with the Bears at the top of the division. Even though the Lions have not dealt with a major injury at quarterback, they have still struggled this season from week-to-week.

Green Bay Packers: Trying to win without Rodgers

Green Bay has been without Aaron Rodgers for three weeks and they have yet to win a game. They recently tied with their division foes, the Minnesota Vikings, on Sunday. Matt Flynn, who started his NFL career with the Packers, is back with Green Bay. He relieved Scott Tolzien on Sunday, helping the Packers rally from a 16-point deficit to send the game into overtime. It is still unknown who will start against the Lions on Thursday, despite the stellar play of Flynn in relief of Tolzien.
