Pacers headed for 26th home win in 28 games
A win on Wednesday night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indiana would be the Pacers’ 26th win at home in 28 games played, with all of them coming before the All-Star break. Indiana is the best team in the Eastern Conference, holding a 3.5-game lead over the second-place Miami Heat. The Pacers romp over Charlotte on Monday night was their largest margin of victory (39 points) since a game in 2003 against the Chicago Bulls.
Mavericks hope to have Dirk Nowitzki healthy
During their loss to Charlotte on Tuesday, Nowitzki left the game in the second quarter due to a sprained ankle. He returned to the game in the second half, scoring 14 points in the losing effort. Nowitzki told reporters that he would play Wednesday night because the Mavericks need to get themselves back on the right track. The loss to Charlotte snapped the Mavericks five-game winning streak and their record stands at 31-22 with the break just days away.
