Islanders and Penguins Meet for First End of Home-and-Home

Penguins looking for fourth straight victory tonight

Pittsburgh already has 27 points this season, which puts them in first in the Metropolitan Division. With three straight wins, the Penguins are starting to distance themselves from the pack, which includes the Islanders. A fourth consecutive win would give them a five-point lead in the division over New York with one more game to play this weekend in the home-and-home set.

Islanders ready to climb towards top of division standings

New York can move to within one point of the division-leading Penguins with a win on the road in the first game of this home-and-home set on Friday night. New York comes into this game having taken down the Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 5-2. That game was played on Tuesday, so the Islanders have been able to get a little bit of rest for their weary and injured players. They boast one of the best offenses in the league, with an average of 3.1 goals scored per game, which is good for third.

On Friday night, we will use the odds from to place our wager for the Islanders and the Penguins from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. This is sure to be an exciting Metropolitan battle. We are going to drop 15 percent of our bankroll on the Penguins to take down the Islanders in this game as they win a fourth straight game and expand their division lead.
