Jaguars vs Titans NFL Week 17 AFC Betting Lines and Free Pick

Tennessee Titans: Defend Music City in Week 17 Finale

Although we’re never big on investing in Donkey vs Donkey type match-ups, we found a few scenarios that favor Tennessee over Jacksonville this weekend. It starts with Titans actually showing up during the last weekend of the season recently. Tennessee defeated the Texans 23-22 on the road in Houston last year, fought tough in a 23-20 road loss to the Colts in 2010, and they beat the Seahawks 17-13 in Seattle back in 2009.  Tennessee was embarrassed 55-7 last weekend in Green Bay and, because of that, one would expect that the Titans will play with some extra pride in this one. This is the Titans first home finale in Week 17 since 2006 and we expect them to give their home town fans something to shout about.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Loss would be a huge win for the Florida Cats

Coming off their 23-16 “Super Bowl” home defeat to the New England Patriots last weekend, Jacksonville rolls into Music City without much left in the tank. Injuries are a concern for Jacksonville this weekend as they placed promising WR Cecil Shorts on IR after he suffered a concussion in Week 16. Shorts torched the Titans for 105 yards and one TD during the Jags 24-19 Week 12 win. Rookie WR Justin Balckmon won’t be able to handle the extra attention he will get from the Tennessee defense and that should just about shut down the Jaguars offense. A Jacksonville loss here, coupled with an improbable win by the Chiefs in Denver later in the day, earns the Jaguars the first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. They have already secured at least the #2 pick.
