Jets vs Titans NFL Week 15 Betting Odds and Game Day Call

New York Jets: Still battling in AFC playoff race

Although the 2012 NFL season has mostly been a train wreck for the Jets, New York still has a flickering hope of making the 2013 postseason party. The pressure is mounting though as Gang Green needs to win out and then hope for some help. With Cincinnati punishing Philadelphia during Week 15 Thursday Night football, the Jets need a win to remain one game back of the Bengals who currently own the final AFC Wild Card position.

New York’s best chance to win tonight comes from their ground attack as running backs Shonn Greene and Bilal Powell have posted 317 rushing yards over the Jets past two games. Much maligned QB Mark Sanchez needs to properly manage this contest for the Jets to fly home with a win – and their playoff hopes still alive.

Tennessee Titans: Lost season plays out in Music City

Sitting with a 4-9 record, the Titans have lost three straight contests – to the other three teams in the AFC South. Ranking in the bottom half of every statistical category that counts, Tennessee has had a miserable 2012 NFL season. The blame can be shared on both sides of the ball as the Titans don’t score much on offense (20.8 PPG) and they give up and average of 29.6 points per game on defense.

One has to wonder wonder how much fight is let in the tank for the Titans after they were sweep in their recent rivalry game run. QB Jake Locker has regressed in his sophomore season as he has thrown seven interceptions during the Titans losing streak. We don’t love New York here, but we like Tennessee even less.
