Memphis Aiming for 6-0 Start with Visit to Oklahoma City Friday Night

Grizzlies yet to face a tough obstacle to begin new season

Even though they are 5-0, the Grizzlies have not been tested with any tough obstacles yet. Their first true test could come against the depleted Thunder tonight. Memphis took the Thunder to seven games in the first round of the playoffs last year, with four of them going into overtime. This game would have been just as exciting, but the Thunder have too many stars out of the lineup due to injury.

Thunder off to poor start with stars out of the lineup

Oklahoma City has played without Kevin Durant to begin the season and now they will be without Russell Westbrook, who has a broken bone in his hand. He has missed the last three games and should be out again tonight. Aside from these two, the Thunder are also without Anthony Morrow, Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson for this contest. The Thunder could have just eight active players on the floor for tonight’s contest if none of the injured can play tonight.

On Friday, when the Grizzlies visit the Thunder in Oklahoma City, we will place our bets over at The Grizzlies are favored by 7.5 points and they should have no trouble beating the shorthanded Thunder. This is why we will drop 15 percent of our bankroll as we lay the line for Memphis to win this game and move to 6-0 to begin the season.
