Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions: NFL Week 4 Game Day Call

Detroit Lions: Cats shrink to Kittens late in Music City

Even though they allowed a 65-yard punt return TD in the second quarter last weekend in Tennessee, the Lions were still up 27-20 with just 6:53 left on the clock. If it wasn’t for the 105 kickoff return TD the Titans scored late in the fourth quarter, along with some questionable play from C Dominic Raiola in overtime, the Lions would have won this contest that would not have needed OT. Though he hasn’t been anything special over the past two plus seasons, Detroit held RB Chris Johnson to just 29 total yards on 15 touches.

Minnesota Vikings: Coming off monster win over highly favored 49ers

Detroit  will need to be even better against Vikings RB Adrian Peterson. Coming of a devastating injury, AP suffered both an ACL and MCL tear in Week 16 last season, Purple Jesus is starting to roll. We also like what we saw out of QB Christian Ponder in Week 3 as he passed for one TD, and scored on a 23-yard TD run in a 24-13 win over San Francisco. A similar effort here will keep this contest close. This is battle number 102 in this bitter NFC North rivalry. It’s #207 MIN and #208 DET on the betting board at the BetOnline sportsbook.

Lions vs. Vikings Online Sports Betting NFL Week 4 Prediction

Minnesota owns a 66-33-2 series lead but Detroit has gone 3-1 S/U over the last four games. Being as yours truly has bled Honolulu Blue and Silver since birth, I rarely wager either for or against the Motor City Cats. I’ll bend that rule somewhat today. Expecting a close Black and Blue divisional clash, back the hometown Cats with the -220 ML odds in the sportsbook at the BetOnline.ag premium sports handicapping website.
