Nationals Take Hot Streak to St. Louis to Face Cardinals Tonight

Nationals enjoying return to first place in the NL East

Washington returned to first place in the National League East following a four-game winning streak. They have a slim, one-game lead, but will look to extend it on Friday night in St. Louis. The Nationals saw their win streak come to an end on Thursday with a 7-1 loss to the Giants and Tim Hudson. Jordan Zimmermann takes the hill for the Nats with a 5-2 record and an impressive 3.17 ERA.

Cardinals welcome big bat Matt Adams back into lineup

As the Cardinals begin a 10-game homestand Friday night, they received good news regarding their first baseman Matt Adams. Adams was activated from the disabled list Friday morning and optioned outfielder Oscar Taveras to Triple-A. Lance Lynn will take the mound looking to go deeper into the game compared to his start against Toronto on June 6. He went just five innings in a loss that saw him give up just two runs.

We head over to to find the betting line for tonight’s National League contest between the Cardinals and the Nationals from St. Louis, Missouri. We are going to drop 15 percent of our bankroll on the visiting Nationals as they take down the Cards in game one of this three-game set. Our bet will be placed on the -107 money line for Washington on Friday night. Watch for the Nats offense to explode later today.
