New York Knicks vs Washington Wizards NBA Betting Prediction

New York Knicks: Half game back of the Heat in the East

Although they have cooled some, after a torrent 8-1 start to the 2012-13 NBA season, New York is still one the best clubs in the Association this year. Following a recent 5-6 run the Knicks (31-15) have now won five straight games by a 536-453 combined count. New York heads out on the road after a 5-0 home-stand and they just punished Detroit 99-85 in a game where they were up 57-36 at halftime. Led by Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks return to NBA prominence has been fueled by one of the best staring five in the league.

Washington Wizards: Losing ways continue in the District of Columbia

Battling the Charlotte Bobcats for the worst record in the Eastern Conference, Washington (12-35) is now just seven loses away from their fifth straight sub .500 season. Make that six loses after tonight. After a 0-12 start doomed their season from the get-go, Washington has been “hot” lately as the Wizards are 8-7 over their past 15 games and they just knocked off the injured riddled Los Angeles Clippers 98-90 on Monday night. That win is actually beneficial to us as it adds some value to the betting lines for tonight’s contest.

Knicks vs Wizards Wagering Lines and Online Sorts Betting Game Day Call

Checking the betting board at the online sportsbook, we find New York listed as -5 (-115) ATS and -200 ML road favorites. The Wizards are home pups at +5 (-105) ATS and +170 S/U while the Over/Under is posted at 191.5 (-110) total points. Being as we have been all NFL – all the time – for the past six months, we are going to ease into our NBA forecasting by taking what we see as a softball today. The Knicks are in a tight battle with the Miami Heat for the best record in the Eastern Conference and the won’t let up in this one.

OSB Prediction: Gives us the Knickerbockers at -200 straight up!
