New York vs. Boston: Eastern Conference Semifinal Series Odds

New York Rangers: Survive long series versus Washington

For the second straight season, New York survived a seven game playoff series against Washington as the Rangers crushed the Capitals 5-0 on Monday night to bag a 4-3 series win. Look no further than goaltender Henrik Lundqvist when trying to determine New York’s success. King Henry posted shutouts in games six and seven and he’s stopped the last 62 pucks that have been fired at him. The Blueshirts scored 14 goals in their four wins and just two goals in their three loses versus the Capitals. The Rangers offensive special team play needs to be better in this series after New York went just two for 28 on the power-play against Washington.

Boston Bruins: Miracle Game Seven comeback lifts the Boys for Beantown

Getting all they could handle and then some from the Maple Leafs, the Boston Bruins dug down deep to pull off a playoff miracle on Monday night. Down 4-1 with under eleven minutes left in their Game 7 quarterfinal battle against Toronto, Boston stormed back with three straight goals before winning in OT as the Bruins sent the Maple Leafs to the playoff sidelines with a 4-3 series win. Richard Nixon was the US President the last time Boston and New York met in the Stanley Cup playoffs – a series won 4-1 by the Rangers back in April 1973. Boston needs to be better in all areas if they want to meet the Penguins the Eastern Conference Final.

Rangers vs Bruins NHL Semifinal Series Prices and Online Sports Betting Prediction

NHL schedule makers were kind to the Rangers and Bruins as they’ve both had almost three days off to rest up for their second round battle. Out of the four semifinal playoff series, this one was the toughest match-up for us to predict. Boston hasn’t looked very good over the last month has they closed the season on a 2-7 run while the Rangers ramped up their play to finish the regular season with a 10-4 record in April. Bookmakers at have Boston as series favorites at -120 while the Rangers are the underdogs with a +100 money line. We like the New York goaltending and the roll they are on so we’ll take a small bite out of the Big Apple!
