NFL Futures Betting: 2014 AFC Championship Wagering Lines

National Football League AFC Championship futures prices

No live North American pro sporting events – no problem! Checking out the NFL futures odds we find that the bookmakers at 5Dimes.eu have posted Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos (+275) as the favorites to represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLVIII – just 200 days from now. The New England Patriots, who are dealing with off-field turmoil but are perennial AFC top chalk, are a close second favorite with a +315 price. Although it’s still early, yours truly doesn’t think the Patriots will even play in the AFC Championship game this season.

American Football Conference: Prices drop after the top two chalk teams

There’s a slight drop off after the top two AFC Title chalk teams on the betting board at 5Dimes. The Houston Texans (+700), the Super Bowl XLVII Champion Baltimore Ravens (+975) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (+1000) round out the top five. Jacksonville and Oakland are the AFC longshots as the Jaguars and Raiders are both listed with a +9000 price. The Bengals (+1235) or Colts (+1550) could catch lightning in a bottle and are both tempting “fun money” wagers. We’ll begin our 2013 NFL wagering run with a Franklin on Ray Rice, Joe Flacco and the defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens to win the NFL 2014 AFC Championship!
