49ers, Falcons, Giants supplant Packers as top NFC chalk
After a 6-3 start to the 2012 NFL season the Green Bay Packers have lost their preseason chalk status in the National Football Conference. The Packers, who were 10/3 favorites to win the NFC back in August, now sit as the fourth chalk with 17/4 odds. Key injuries on offense have hampered Green Bay but they have managed to keep winning and they will get healthier over the next few weeks. We still like the Packers to win the NFC.
Favorites list is loaded with talent in the National Football Conference
Runners up in the NFC during the 2011 NFL season, the San Francisco 49ers (6-2) are now the top chalk to win the conference with a 3/1 line. Atlanta, who have opened the season with a 9-0 record, and the defending NFC Champion New York Giants (6-3) are tied as second favorites with a 4/1 wagering line. The Chicago Bears (7-1) round out the top five NFC contenders list with 5/1 odds.
Online Sports Betting 2013 NFC Championship Handicapping Prediction
We’ve been on the Packers bandwagon since the preseason. The fact they are winning without their best two wide receivers and top running back is impressive. Green Bay hasn’t been up against very stiff competition lately but the Week 2 win over the Bears, and even more so the road win versus the Texans, were impressive. We’ll back the Pack (100 units) over the Niners to win the NFC Championship at the bovada.lv sportsbook.
