Rangers vs. Senators Battle In The Big Apple

Back in October 2011, if you had asked just about any hockey “expert” if the Ottawa Senators would make the playoffs, they would have laughed. Predicted to finish last in the entire National Hockey League, the Senators battled tough all season and were rewarded with the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff position.

For their efforts, the ‘Sens earned a trip to New York and a first round match-up against the Eastern Conference regular season Champion Rangers. The Broadway Blueshirts finished the season with 109 points while the Senators closed on a 4-6 run to garner 92 points. We don’t like the Senators chances in Manhattan.

Two Canadian teams,  one – Vancouver is expected to survive Round One, while the other – Ottawa is expected to get rolled.
