NHL Wednesday Night Betting: Buffalo vs Toronto

Toronto Maple Leafs: Trying to make a move up the ladder

Toronto comes into this game off a win over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night. They should like the idea of back-to-back games since they are trying to build their confidence and find a rhythm. With 51 points on the season, the Maple Leafs are just nine points behind the Bruins for first place in the Atlantic Division. This means that their win over Boston on Tuesday night comes at the right time. With the Sabres in town tonight, the Maple Leafs should be able to secure a victory and two more points to their season total.

Buffalo Sabres: Long season getting longer

Buffalo enters this game with an overall record of 13-27-5, which is good for 31 points. They are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night, which is why back-to-back games are not a welcome sight for the Sabres right now. Their loss on Tuesday came after allowing three goals in the third period, including the game-winning goal with less than 15 seconds remaining in the game. The Sabres are at the bottom of the Atlantic Division standings and have a 4-4-2 mark in their last 10 games played overall.

Even though the Sabres were able to secure points in their three games leading up to the contest with the Flyers, they are still a franchise headed in the wrong direction this season. On the other side of the rink, the Maple Leafs are in the middle of a heated division race in the Atlantic, with the top four teams separated by just nine points. We are going to place our bets at tonight when the Leafs host the Sabres. We will drop 10 percent of our bankroll on Toronto with the -1.5 (+170) line as they secure two more points for their season total. Place your bets early and enjoy this NHL contest.
