Packers vs Bears NFL Monday Night Football NFC North Contest

Green Bay Packers: Riding a four game NFL winning streak

Green Bay is looking for their fifth straight win and can take sole possession of the NFC North top perch with a victory at home tonight. The Packers have dealt with injuries all season and are currently without WR Randall Cobb and James Jones, plus TE Jermichael Finely, as well as LB Clay Mathews – their inspirational leader on defense. While most teams would have to fold in their tents – Green Bay is an extremely deep football team.

Chicago Bears: Hope their bye week rest will help stop their downward spiral

A once promising season is close to a crash and burn scenario in the Windy City. After posting a 3-0 start to the 2013 season, Chicago has now lost three of four games by a 132-118 final count. The Bears open their second half schedule without QB Jay Cutler on offense and their leader on defense LB Lance Briggs. While both players will be difficult to replace – losing Jay Cutler at the quarterback position is a tough break.

Aaron Rodgers vs. Josh McCown: Huge QB mismatch favors the Packers in this match-up

Josh McCown will be under center for the Bears tonight and he has started just two games since Week 16 of the 2011 NFL season. One of those contests was a 35-21 loss to the Packers who have won six games in a row versus the Bears. Green Bay and Chicago are both a walking wounded  group right now – the difference being that the Packers continue to win while Chicago is in a downward spiral. We are Packer Backers here!
