Patriots vs Texans NFL Week 14 Monday Night Football Odds

Houston Texans: Challenging the AFC “best team” mantle?

Sitting with a 11-1 record, and riding a six game winning streak, the Houston Texans can get to within one game of locking up home field advantage in 2013 AFC playoffs. Houston is 6-0 on the road this season, including wins in Chicago, when the Bears were playing well, and in Denver against the red-hot Broncos. Houston has racked up the 10th and 6th most passing and rushing yards respectively. The road may not be as friendly tonight as this is the third straight game away from Reliant Stadium for the young Texans.

New England Patriots: Out to defend long legacy of AFC domination

Standing in the way of the Texans is the Patriots high octane offense led by QB Tom Brady and a rejuvenated New England defense. AFC representatives in five of the last eleven Super Bowls, the Patriots have also won six straight and they will play at home for the first time in three weeks. The Pats dismantled the Colts 59-24 the last time they played at Gillette Stadium. New England ranks 6th and 8th in run and pass offense. Houston RB Arian Foster and WR Andre Johnson will give the Patriots defense a stern test in this one.
