Pirates Host Giants for NL Wild Card Game Wednesday Night

Giants relying on their ace to propel them to Division Series

San Francisco has won the World Series twice in the last four years heading into this year’s post-season. They brought home the trophy in 2010 and 2012. So, if the pattern stays the same, they are due for another World Series title this year. They will be sending the right person to the mound to begin their hunt for another title in Madison Bumgarner. He went 11-4 in 18 starts on the road this season.

Pirates trying to win NL Wild Card game for second straight year

Pittsburgh ended its long post-season drought in 2013 when it played in the NL Wild Card game against the Reds. They won that game, but lost the division series to the Cardinals. Pittsburgh will hand Edinson Volquez the ball on Wednesday as he looks to carry his scoreless innings streak over into the playoffs. He finished the regular season with a scoreless innings streak of 18 and an ERA of 1.72 over his final 12 starts.

We will place our wager on the NL Wild Card game between the Pirates and the Giants from Pittsburgh over at Sportsbook.ag tonight. We are going to bet 15 percent of our bankroll on the visiting Giants and the -108 money line as they take the Wild Card game and advance to face the Nationals in what should be a thrilling game, maybe even a pitching duel.
