Red Sox Host Orioles in AL East Battle Friday Night in Boston

Red Sox bats need to wake up soon

Boston is hitting .171 as a team in their last eight games, but were able to win their last two games played. With a 7-9 record, the Red Sox are not where they thought they would be following a World Series victory in 2013. If their bats to not wake up soon, they could risk dropping in the division, which is weakened this year with all of the injuries to the Yankees. Boston went 2-1 in their season-opening series against Baltimore.

Orioles looking for fast start to this set

Baltimore heads to Boston for a four-game series against the Red Sox and bring in plenty of momentum. They swept a rain-shortened two-game series against Tampa Bay and are pitching very well. The Orioles have recorded 12 consecutive scoreless innings on the mound as a staff. Chris Tillman takes the ball tonight after going 4-1 with a 2.15 ERA against Boston since September 28, 2012, a span of eight starts. He already has a win against the Red Sox this year.

Any game featuring two AL East teams will provide excitement, but this one could be thrilling. With two strong pitchers on the mound, Tillman for Baltimore and John Lackey for Boston, tonight will be fun. At Sportsbook.ag, the oddsmakers like Lackey and Boston to win and we feel the same way. This is why we will drop 10 percent of our bankroll on Boston with the -129 money line on Friday night.
