Spurs Looking for the Advantage in Tight Series with Mavericks

San Antonio needs the game five win at home

The Spurs, in search of another deep playoff run, would love to win game five at home to take the 3-2 series lead over their Texas rivals. The Spurs, in their two wins, have not been overly dominant. But, they have gotten big play and huge shots from various players when they mattered most. Boris Diaw hit the game-winning shot for the Spurs from long range in the final seconds of a game four win to bring the series to this point.

Mavericks happy to be at this point

Despite being the eight-seed in the Western Conference, and barely sneaking into the playoffs, the Mavericks are very pleased with where they are right now in this series. They are tied with the Spurs at two games apiece and would absolutely love to hand the Spurs a loss at home in game five. Dallas will need to limit Tony Parker and Tim Duncan in this game if they want to grab the victory, which is easier said than done.

Before the Spurs and the Mavericks hit the court on Wednesday night in Texas, we will look at Sportsbook.ag for the betting odds. The Spurs are the better team in this series, which is why we will lay the line of -6 (-110) with 15 percent of our bankroll as San Antonio takes the 3-2 series lead over Dallas.
