Sunday NFL Playoff Odds: San Francisco vs Carolina

San Francisco 49ers: Planning return trip to NFC title game

San Francisco is planning its return trip to the NFC title game this weekend. They need a win on Sunday on the road over the upstart Panthers to make it happen. San Francisco finished with a 12-4 record and a 6-2 mark on the road. A win would give the 49ers their third straight appearance in the NFC title game. San Francisco will look to return the favor to Carolina for a regular-season loss on November 10 at home by a score of 10-9. Michael Crabtree did not play in the loss to the Panthers earlier this season due to an Achilles injury. He has been almost unstoppable during his playoff career though.

Carolina Panthers: Magical season comes to an end

Carolina has enjoyed a magical ride this season, but is not good enough to win a playoff game yet. Cam Newton will be making his playoff debut on Sunday at home, which is a major confidence booster. Carolina started the season 1-3 before reeling off eight straight wins. They dropped a decision to New Orleans and then won three straight games to finish the regular-season, securing the NFC South title and a first-round bye. The Panthers will need to stop Colin Kaepernick for a second straight time this season if they want to advance to the NFC title game next week.

On Sunday afternoon, we find the betting odds for the San Francisco 49ers and the Carolina Panthers at Sportsbook.com. Even though they are on the road, coming from the West Coast, the 49ers are the favorites to win this contest. We are going to bet 10 percent of our bankroll on the 49ers to grab the win with the -1.5 (-110) spread on Sunday afternoon. Place your bets now so you can enjoy the four games scheduled this weekend in the NFL Division Round of the playoffs.
