Who Leaves New Jersey with the Coveted Super Bowl XLVIII Ring?

John Elway has the Broncos setup for a Super Sunday

Returning to the Denver Broncos as the Executive Vice President of Football Operations, John Elway has put the franchise in position for a parade. Elway was under center the last time the Broncos won the Super Bowl, in 1997 and 1998, so his track record has definitely followed him into the front office. After bringing Peyton Manning to Colorado following his days with the Indianapolis Colts, Elway went on to acquire Wes Welker, who has put this offense over-the-top.

Pete Carroll using past failures to his advantage

The head coach of the Seattle Seahawks is using failures from his past as motivation for the present. Carroll was fired as head coach of the New York Jets in 1994 and then as the New England Patriots in 1999. He was viewed by most fans and NFL people as a joke during those two coaching stints. Carroll said on Friday that he uses those failures in his career as motivation for what he does now as the head coach of the Seahawks.

With two recognizable figures at the helms of their Super Bowl franchises, both the Broncos and the Seahawks could not be in better positions to secure the league title this weekend. At Bovada, where the Broncos are the favorites at -3 (-110), we find that the OVER/UNDER is set at 48 points. We just don’t see that many points being scored on Sunday, which is why we will lay 10 percent down on Denver UNDER 48 (-105).
